“In addition, Biesemans and the orchestra with period instruments under the direction of Andrea Marcon worked with strong impulses; however, as a listener, one could not always pin down these impulses, the music was too complex for that. … That the evening ended in favour of the Salzburg composer was only due to the fact that Marcon and Co. turned up the heat once again in Mozart’s “Haffner” Symphony. Like the D minor concerto, this Mozart diamond was presented unpolished but incredibly beautiful.”“
