La Cetra has long had a musical relationship with the Spanish countertenor Carlos Mena, newly appointed professor at the Schola Cantorum – he can be heard on numerous CDs by the ensemble. Now, with his expressive alto voice, musi- cality and creative power, he has been invited to lead La Cetra in the beautiful programme “Spiritus Vivaldi”: Besides the famous Stabat Mater, the furious-virtuoso psalm setting “Nisi Dominus” and other sacred works of the “prete rosso” will be presented.
